This elegant home was created from the clients’ desire for their house to blend into its natural surroundings and be simple and easy to maintain.
Working with the clients, JWR Design and Highline Interiors we finalized exterior details such as paint color, siding, door and window selections to ensure the house reflected the landscape around it. We also implemented easy-to-clean features such as wall hung toilets, LVP flooring, and quartz countertops.
To further accentuate a long-lasting space that could foster aging in place, we made thoughtful design choices such as curbless showers, grab bars, and a large laundry room. Lastly, the open floor plan and efficiently designed kitchen create a sense of space in this 1900 square foot home.
The 18’ high ceilings and carefully placed recessed lighting create a warm, bright atmosphere with elegant touches such as the live edge mantle over the fireplace and glass pendants over the kitchen island. The rich-tone cabinets contrast pleasantly with the golden brown walls.
To allow for the clients to enjoy their outside patio with their beloved dog, we added a cedar and wire mesh fence and created a perfect space in their laundry room for dog bathing.
Mindful design choices and high quality finishes in this well-built home will allow the clients peace of mind to age in place gracefully and easily, in a home that blends into their Pacific Northwest surroundings.
