We’re no strangers to community giving. For our most recent Team Highline Volunteer Day, we joined forces with WaFd Bank and Peoples Bank to participate in Habitat for Humanity of Whatcom County’s Home Builders Blitz. The day we volunteered, we got to work on framing and adding fireproofing to a four-unit townhome project that is part of the Mateo Meadows Community in Everson, WA.
Our team contributed a total of 50 hours to this project. We brought together team members from every department: build, civil, design, and admin.
The four-unit townhome we helped with is part of a much larger project. Habitat for Humanity of Whatcom County describes Mateo Meadows as “a mixed-use, mixed-income, permanently affordable commercial and housing development . . . [which will] include 30 townhomes . . . 16 apartments, and 7,000sf of commercial space.”
Wondering how you can help? Habitat for Humanity makes it easy and fun to volunteer. They provide all of the necessary tools, training and support, and personal protective equipment you need to join a Home Builders Blitz and make a difference in your community.
